How to connect a Camera to PicThrive Instant
PicThrive Instant allows you to connect to your camera, take photos, get a liveview, adjust settings and transfer photos automatically into albums. Check List of supported cameras to see if your camera is supported.
To connect your camera to PicThrive Instant
- Open PicThrive Instant (or Install it if you haven't already)
- Navigate to "Settings"
- Go to the "Folder Detection" section
- Enable folder monitoring, and specify a local folder. This is where photos will automatically be transfered from the camera to when they are detected.
- A new window will automatically appear.
- In this new window click "Cameras" on the top-left
- Turn on your camera and enable CCAPI (Enable CCAPI on your Canon Camera)
- Copy the Address (eg. 192.168.0.21:8080) displayed on the camera into the text box on PicThrive Instant
- Click Connect
- The camera will now appear, with controls, in the window below.
