Enable CCAPI on your Canon Camera
Make sure your camera is in the List of supported cameras. Update your camera’s firmware. Eg. Canon Support.. Download the CCAPI Activation Tool as provided to you by PicThrive Support. We will need…
- Make sure your camera is in the List of supported cameras
- Update your camera’s firmware.
- Eg. Canon Support
- Download the CCAPI Activation Tool as provided to you by PicThrive Support. We will need to know what Computer OS you are using.
- Plug your camera into your computer via USB, and turn on the camera
- Run the “Activation Tool”. It will popup and run a few instructions.
- Once completed, unplug the camera, and go to Wireless settings
- Go Wi-Fi settings sub menu
- Go to “Camera Control API”
- Go to “Add with wizard”
- Connect to the wifi network of your choice
- Write down the URL it shows
- Eg. http://192.168.137.40:8080/ccapi
- Put that into PicThrive Instant
- Once put into PicThrive the camera will show an new menu optoin
- Select “Confirm Set.”
- Return to the main menu on the camera
- Go to “Camera Control API” settings again
- Set “Auto connect” to “Enabled”. This will make the camera automatically rejoin the wifi whenever it is turned on.
