The PicThrive Kiosk Main settings are broken into 3 sections:

  • Store
    • Adjust which Store this tablet is configured for.
  • Display
    • Adjust how the images, info, and details show on the App.
  • Delivery & Purchase
    • Options for purchase delivery and instructions.

Store

Use the Drop Down on the right-hand-side to adjust which of your PicThrive Stores this tablet should be configured for.

Display

Watermark Protection

Turn on to display a watermark above every photo/video displayed in the app. You can adjust the level of the watermark by selecting an option after turning on the feature.

Watermark changes here are per tablet. They will not affect any Online Store watermarks (Customize Watermark.

Screen Always On

Turn on this feature to keep the Android screen always on. This will prevent the screen from going to sleep. We recommend also turning on the Screen Saver if you use this feature, as tablets that never turn off can get screen burn in over extended periods of time.

Show Hidden Albums

If you hide your albums from the Online Store (Hide an album) you may still want to display them on the tablets. Turning on this feature will show all Hidden Albums when browsing on the Tablet.

Show Filename

Turn on this feature to display the name of the photo/video on the Tablet. The name will appear in the Cart and when previewing the photos. Some customers who offer single prints may want to turn this on, so guests can easy communicate which of their photos they want printed.

Enable Screensaver

A screen saver will run if the tablet is idle for 20 minutes on the home screen. You can customize the color scheme of the screensaver when this is turned on.

Show Help Menu

Displays a "Help" option on the Home screen. This will let guests learn how to interact with the tablet, what they receive, and what the refund policy is.

Show Blue Help Floater

Displays a blue question mark on the bottom left of the tablet. This lets guests receive help when on any screen of the PicThrive Kiosk App.

Default Language

Set the default language the Kiosk should display when returning to the "home screen". This allows the Kiosk to always return to the specified language after any guest has completed their use of the Kiosk.

Delivery & Purchase

Show Texting (SMS)

Your guests have the option to send an album via SMS on the tablets in addition to entering their email. If you do not want your guests to send photo/video orders via SMS orders, you can turn off this feature. Texting will then no longer be an option on checkout. To do this go into the app's main settings and toggle the SMS feature on or off.

SMS is free for you to use and can sometimes be faster than email.

After turning on this feature, you can adjust the default SMS country by going to the Workspace settings. From there, go to the "SMS Settings" under the "Cloud Settings" section and adjust the default SMS country to where most of your customers are coming from.

Customize Thank You Text

Customize the message that displays after a customer has submitted their Pending Purchase, or completed their in-app purchase.

You can customize this message by either:

  • Tapping the grey text box, and typing in your own message.
  • Tapping <mdl-button>Quick Suggestions</mdl-button>, to see our other suggest texts.

This feature can be useful if you wish to send guests to a different location or to remind them to tip their favorite guide. By default, for Use your Own POS, this message will tell guests to Please go to the Front Desk to pay.

Show QR Code after Purchase.

If you are using the In App Payment, this feature will allow for a QR code to be displayed on the tablet. After a purchase is completed, the screen will turn bright green. The customer then has the option to take a photo of the QR code to get instant access to their purchase.

We set the screen to bright green to help you identify, from a distance, if the customer is taking a photo of the QR code or not.
