Smartwaiver Integration Instructions

PicThrive integrates with Smartwaiver, a popular digital waiver solution.

We have two main ways to use this integration:

  • AutoSales based on "Checked In" status in SmartWaiver
  • Search name to autocomplete email + phone

To power Auto Photo & Video Sales SmartWaiver needs to know when guests are checked in. This must be done via SmartWaiver and not your reservation system. This can then power our Auto Photo & Video Sales and Smart Album Title making your life easier as we will know what day a guest's actual activity is on.

If you just want to have email's and phone numbers auto complete in PicThrive, you do not need to check in guests directly.

For both integrations, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Smartwaiver account, and navigate to "API Keys".
  2. Follow the instructions listed on Smartwaiver here to generate a new API Key.
    1. Be sure to give it a name like "PicThrive"
  3. Log into your PicThrive account.
  4. Navigate to "Stores" on the left-hand-side and click on the Store this integration is for.
  5. Scroll to the "For Your Website" section.
  6. Click Add Secret
  7. For the dialog that pops up:
    1. Label: "Smartwaiver API Key"
    2. Username: "Smartwaiver"
    3. Password: Copy in the API Key from Step 2
    4. Other Info: Leave blank
  8. Click "Save"
  9. Your API Key has now been securely shared with our team.
  10. Notify our team by using the chat box on the bottom left, or Contact Us via email or phone. Please let us know HOW you wish to use the integration.
