Find a computer's IP Address

Windows. Go to the windows start menu. Type cmd.. Hit enter. In the dialog that opens, type ipconfig.. Look for the **IPV4 Address........ : 192.168.X.XXX" entry. Replace the 'X's with actual numbers…

  2. Type
    • cmd
  3. Hit enter
  4. In the dialog that opens, type
    • ipconfig
  5. Look for the **IPV4 Address . . . . . . . . : 192.168.X.XXX" entry.
    • Replace the 'X's with actual numbers
    • Some more advanced networks may not have an IP that starts with 192.168.
